ON
THE WATER - HELP PAGE!!!
In
addition to the main navigation column on the left, and the page header
navigation above, the "On The Water" page adds another level of choices
right in the middle of the page, only this time, they're all related to
"Things To Do On The Water". You can click on the underlined red text beneath the
cartoon picture or click on the cartoon itself. Either way, you'll be
taken to a page devoted exclusively to whatever water activity you chose.
On the
Water Categories...
The "On The Water" category contains every kind
of activity we could think of that you can do on or in the waters
surrounding St. Pete Beach. From
para-sailing and dolphin watching to fishing and shell collecting, we have attempted to
give you as much information as we can about your chosen activity. In
some instances, you'll click on a category which then offers you a
choice of several sub-categories. Simply click on the type of activity you want
to do and go have some fun.
Sub-Categories...
As
an example of a sub-category, lets say you don't want to rent a boat
because you get sea sick, but you want to go fishing off one of our
bridges or seawalls, so you click on the "Fishing" cartoon. Instead of getting a
listing of all the charter fishing boats and every single place that has
anything to do with fishing, the sub-category page allows you to select just bridge, jetty and
seawall fishing.
Additional useful information is posted on the right side of the page
which includes local tide and current predictions for several locations
around our island, as well as graphic representations of the tides and
moon phases and exact sunrise/sunset moonrise/moonset times for every
day of the year.
How to
Use the Maps...
Click on the Bridge Fishing cartoon and you get an up-to-date map of
where to go bridge fishing. But wait! There's More!!! Click on the text
and it will show you the exact location of what you're looking for. Click on the
location pin on the map and a small pop-up will give you valuable
information on that precise location, like which side of the bridge has
the best parking. Click the Satellite button on the map and get a bird's
eye view of your chosen location. You can move the map or satellite
image around by simply clicking on it and dragging it. Zoom in and out
with the gadget on the left of the screen or by double clicking on the
map.
