Every business with a storefront on St. Pete Beach gets listed on our site for free. Every business with a storefront gets a locator pin on the map indicating their exact location and every business with a storefront is listed in alphabetical order in the right hand column of the map page. Every business is listed in every category that's appropriate for that particular business. Some are listed in only one category, some are listed in more. In addition to the free listings, there are three different kinds of paid ads available to you. Mapped Business Ads, Unmapped Ads and Larger Ads found on the Businesses pages and some Things To Do pages.

Mapped Business Listings...

Mapped Business Ads, are restricted to businesses that have storefronts. If you run a business out of your home, you are not eligible for this type of ad. The main reason being that home based businesses generally do not want a lot of foot traffic. The neighbors tend to become less cordial if your yard is full or cars that keep coming and going all day long. For this reason, we have Unmapped Listings described below, for home based or web based businesses. Every storefront business gets listed and gets a locator pin on the map for free. Enhanced listings can cost you as little as $110 per year if you take advantage of the easy-to-get discounts that are available.

The way it works is when a website visitor clicks on Businesses or Things To Do, they get a list of categories to choose from, as seen on the left. Let's say they want to go out for the evening so they click on Bars, Pubs & Nightlife. The page on the right comes up and offers them sub-categories to choose from. They can select from beach bars, sports bars, pubs, lounges, places that offer dancing, live entertainment, karaoke, places with full menus or just bar food.

Click on any category and you get a map of our island with all the business in the category selected, as shown on the left. Each business is listed alphabetically on the right side of the page, and the map is dotted with locator pins, one for each business, in the exact location of that business. Click on either the alphabetical listing on the right or the locator pin on the map and you get a small pop-up containing information on that business. The basic listing is shown on the right and is simply your business name, address and phone number. Like your basic listing in the yellow pages.

Your $110 per year will dress up your ad with a photo and text description of your business containing hours of operation or whatever you want to say. I will also include a link to your website and a link where potential customers can download your brochure, your menu, your entertainment schedule, etc.

The image on the left shows how your ad will appear on the interactive map. The image on the right is a full size image of an enhanced $110 a year ad. Clicking on your website link in the ad takes potential customers to your website where you have an unlimited amount of space to tell them or show them whatever you want.

If you do not have a web site, we can build one for you very inexpensively. It can be a mini-site hosted right here on spb2day.com for less than 15 cents a day, or a full size website hosted on its own server with its own domain name, like www.yourbusiness.com. You'll be amazed at how inexpensive it can be.

To place an ad, click on the underlined red text that reads "Click Here to Submit Your Business Information". A form page will appear and you simply fill out the form. Required information is highlighted in yellow.

Step 1... Select the free or the enhanced listing.

Step 2... Request discount based on linking to our website from your site.

Step 3... Fill in your contact information. Business name, contact person, business address, etc.
If you're requesting the free listing, you're finished. Just go to the bottom of the form and click Submit now. If you opt for the enhanced listing, go on to step 4.

Step 4... Upload a photo of your business and write the text you would like to be displayed on your map pop-up. If you don't have a photo, we will be happy to photograph your business for use in your enhanced listing ad.

Step 5... Review your data and click the Submit Now button. You will then receive instructions on how to remit your payment.

Unmapped Listings... (also called Local Talent)

Scroll down the advertising page below the mapped business listings and you will find the Unmapped, Personal or Local Talent listings. It looks like the image on the right. The unmapped listings are designed for individual artisans, entertainers, professionals and businesses that do not have a storefront and are not looking for foot traffic, yet still need to advertise their business. These ads can be as low as $25 per year, depending on which discounts you qualify for. (I know, I know...Never end a sentence with a preposition.) Individual listings are accessible through the Other Listings and Services section of the website grouped by category. Website visitors will see your name, phone number, photo, descriptive text and a link to your website. Prices for individual listings start at $25/yr (after available discounts).

To place an ad, click on the underlined red text that reads "Click Here to Submit Your Personal Listing". A form page will appear and you simply fill out the form. Required information is highlighted in yellow.

Step 1... Confirm that you want an individual listing.

Step 2... Select which discount package you want.

Step 3... Fill in your contact information. Name, Address, Phone, Email and web address if you have a website.

Step 4... Upload the photo you want in your ad and write the text you would like to be displayed. If you don't have a photo, we will be happy to substitute a smiley face in your personal listing ad.

Step 5... Review your data and click the Submit Now button. You will then receive instructions on how to remit your payment.

Large Rotating Ads...

For those businesses seeking additional exposure, we have created a limited number of rotating ad spaces on each of our business category pages. Accommodations, Restaurants, Bars and Lounges, Recreation, Shopping, Health and Beauty, Transportation, and Other Listings.

Each of these pages has a large section of screen real-estate (300x300) available for your ad. After selecting the appropriate page for your ad, it will be rotated randomly in 15 second intervals with other paid ads. We have established a limit of 8 ads on each page to ensure all ads receive appropriate visibility.

Fees for this advertising space are payable quarterly. Long term rates have not yet been established, but Introductory Rates have been set at $99 for 3 months. Act now to lock in these rates for the next year! Click on the red underlined text link to Sign Up.

The Large Ad Submission Form is shown on the left. Fill it out and submit it to place a large scale ad.

Step 1... Fill in your contact information. business name, contact person, contact person phone, contact person email, business website.

Step 2... Tell us in which category you want to place your ad.

Step 3... To attach artwork, click the Browse button and select the files you want to send us.

Step 4... Tell us where to link your ad. Your ad can be linked to any page that you wish on your web site.
For instance, you could create a custom page with specials or other features.

Step 5... Review your data and click the Submit Now button. You will then receive instructions on how to remit your payment. Payment for your ad is $99 and will keep your ad running for 3 months.
