Welcome to Cleo’s
Corner. My name is Cleo Robertson and I grew up in Pass-a-Grille
from 1941 to 1956. During those years I was a “beach
kid,” hanging out in Pass-a-Grille around the docks
and beaches, mending fishermen's nets and learning how
to meet strangers.

St.
Pete Beach Calendar (11.25.09)
I thought
I’d explain one feature of this website that is
heavily used and fun to explore—the St.
Pete Beach Calendar shown on the top left side of
the Home Page. But first, let me dispel a fear you may
have. Think you have to know something about a computer
to use stpetebeachtoday.com? Nope. If you can read the
screen and move your right or left hand to click, you’ve
got all the skill you need. The rest is just playing and
having fun. So let’s start. Read

Loving
What is (11.13.09)
The
passage of time, I think, is directly correlated with
how much fun you are having. If you are having lots of
fun, the time flies. If you are miserable, it creeps by.
Right? Well, I’m having fun so every day whips by
and I am in awe that I get another one. I have been in
awe of time ever since I was very little. My Mom, Sally
Robertson, was a remarkable woman and she taught me to
enjoy every day - every moment, and I have done my best
all my life. Read more

Reclaiming
Our Health
Back
in 2004 I was 50 pounds overweight, depressed a lot,
and trying to find a focus for my life. I was retired
with nothing to do that was important. I swam, I walked,
I biked. But most of all, I ate. I was lonely and I
was not in charge of my health. Read

Dancing the
night away
It
was a normal Monday night, I had no one show up for
my core strengthening class at 6 p.m. at the Woman’s
Club in Pass-a-Grille so I headed off for the Blue Parrot
under the Corey Avenue Bridge. The Tomcats were playing,
a 16-piece band made up of members of the Florida Orchestra.
The first song caught me and I urged my friend, Jan,
to dance with me which she did. It was lovely and we
had a great time. Read
