Sailing in a Glorious Daze (3.17.10)
By: Cleo Robertson
Norman
Kosciusko, Skipper and Anne Condor, First Mate have undertaken
a new business that will surely be a winner. As the picture shows,
their 1998 Fountain Pajot, Bahia Catamaran is a 48’ winner
in anyone’s book. The mast extends 67’ into the air
sporting three sails. As she clips along at an average cruising
speed of 6 knots, everyone on board gets to relax, enjoy the smooth
ride and glorious views all around. As the name indicates, the
Glorious Daze will put you and your friends right where you want
to be.
Norman
and Anne recently hosted a few friends to go on a “maiden”
voyage and though it was cold and windy, everyone had a wonderful
time as the slideshow demonstrates (Click
here to view a slidehow of the voyage). Norman is a master
of avoiding bad weather so we had a lovely ride and saw a great
sunset. He and Anne prepared a grilled Shaner steak tenderloin
dinner with all the trimmings.
Entertainment was delightfully provided by CJ Harding, the only
Patsy Kline singer who gets invited back to Patsy’s hometown
every year to sing for Patsy’s birthday. What a time we
all had trying to sing along with this woman who has a voice that
won’t stop.
When it was time to turn in, we each had our own cabin with private
toilet. As I laid in my very comfortable queen-sized bed, I could
hear the water lapping gently on the sides of the boat and the
last vision in my eyes before sleep was of the Don Ce Sar, lights
showing off all its’ glory, shining through my cabin window.
I truly slept in a glorious daze.
