We
are now entering the magical months of summer. So much wildlife
and weather activity is going on all around us—fish and
dolphins have had their babies and are teaching them to feed,
jump and have fun. Flowers and trees are springing out in bloom
everywhere, particularly gardenias, jasmine and the blue Jacaranda
tree.
At sunset one
evening as we waited to ring the bell in Pass-a-Grille at the
Paradise Grille, I heard some people complaining about all the
wind in May. What these people didn’t realize is that
the wind is essential. It strengthens the tree limbs, particularly
palms, so when a hurricane comes they are strong. The wind also
brings in lots of shells, egg sacks from shells and other treasures.
And the best part of this month? Swimming can be an everyday
event. Welcome to May in Paradise.
